Comments

SINCE I started this little site dedicated in the name of press freedom and denouncing the crony press under the Estrada regime (which I incidentally hosted under the domain of my own personal website), I have received some heartening comments over the unified guestbook (for both my personal website and this site). This goes to show that there are still some people who cares about the freedoms granted to us by the Constitution which, sad to say,are being threatened by the regime itself. Thanks very much to these people for supporting our cause, and I do sincerely hope that there would be still people who will keep the flame of press freedom and freedom of self-expression burning, and at the same time hindi lamang magpapa-uto sa mga pahayagan at ibang midya na tutaan ng anti-masang rehimeng Estrada.

Here are some of them (as of now, these are culled from the guestbook):

Tama ka tsong! Inuunti-unti na tayo ng mga alipores ni Erap. I would suggest that you publish here a list of Phil. publications ranked according to their pro/anti govt. stance -- from Vinta18, Manila

-- from Bopip Creo, Manila

I support your cause.....Let us all boycott the government-controlled papers! -- from Lyle, Davao City

Fight for freedom of speech and press!!! To our Beloved president..don't blame the press for your plunge in the ratings... blame yourself and do something about it. They just have to report the facts as they are... -- from Peaches, Manila

WEB POLL: As of 01/13/2000, 10.00 am, in the Boycott The Manila Times web poll, out of 22 respondents, only one person (5%) voted that he/she would still buy the paper despite the fact that fugitive Mark Jimenez owns the paper. The rest (95%) say that they won't buy a paper which is a part of the so-called crony press. This goes to show that more people think that The Manila Times under the ownership of this "MJ" is not worth the ten bucks, its print price.
